AI models estimate agents could help with a third of the world's work — but finish almost none of it aloneمدل‌های AI تخمین می‌زنند agentها می‌توانند در حدود یک‌سوم کارهای جهان کمک کنند — اما تقریباً هیچ‌کدام را به‌تنهایی تمام نمی‌کنند

About 35% of the world's working time could be partly handed to an AI agent, but only 2.5% fully. Two AI models reached that estimate by rating 18,796 written job tasks one by one.

Why it matters

The study also found a gap between countries. In rich countries about 49% of working time was rated handable to an agent; in the poorest countries about 23%. The reason is the kind of work people do: farming, building and cleaning need a body, and these agents have none. Treat the exact numbers with care — they are AI models judging written job descriptions, and a second model gave 51% instead of 35%.
